Do any of you know if there are an official FORD MOTOR CO weight oprowed for model A Sedans.

As you can se I'm running at tent trailer (Camplet - Danish buildt) after my tudor, it is without brakes and weigt max 300 kilograms.

My car is registrated to tow 450 kg without brake and 850 kg with brakes.

But now the Danish autorities only alow 550 kg (½ car waight) with brake and 275 kg without, unless tha factory states a higher waight.

This is a problem not for me byt for futrure Model A's with Towbars

Well, I am unaware of any factory posted payload however if I were you I would not push the issue with the authorities. My reasoning is the Model-A pick-up truck was rated as a ¼-ton vehicle --or 500 pounds (225 kg). Theoretically you are over that factories rated payweight with your Tudor IMHO when it is towing the trailer empty. Add yourself, a passenger or two, some supplies and look at the weight.

I think the proper way to correct this is either to place your Camplet on a "diet" to make it under the 275 kg, ...or the more preferred way IMO would be to retrofit some small electric brakes to your trailer and hide a brake controller in your Model-A. I realize this is probably not what you are wanting to hear/do, but I feel it is most prudent to lean to the side of safety in situations like this, ...especially since you are going to be towing this more than once.

I saw a little surge brake setup someone had built for a little trailer that would have been perfect for you. Couldn't have weighed up much more than 10 or 12 pounds.
