Torque tube cap

Pulled V8 engine and transmission from a 34. The torque tube clam shell cap was one piece instead of two piece that bolt together. Is this an aftermarket part.

I just found a DavigG post from 2018 and he explains that the 2 piece clam shell did not come until 1935. A heavenly Thanx to the "Master"

Actually, Brian, down near the bottom (New Zealand), who is also a great source for information had PMed me the same info and I wasn't aware that he had. Funny how we call the southern hemisphere down as I am not convinced there is an up or down in space.

Wow. Interesting. I guess the final welding of the banjo mating flange was last in order to slip the one piece unit over the torque tube. Never seen one like that before.

If you look close, there is an extra hole that is threaded. That is where the original battery cable bolted to the Engine/Transmission. Trivia at its finest!
