I think these were accessary aftermarket for Model T Ford and other early smaller cars. I haven't seen others like them. I sandblasted, rust treated,& painted them but did not use filler on the pits. You could do it if you wanted. New thick leather pads. measures 8" pad to pad in the photo, with some adjustment available either way. $ 75. + $15 shipping In the USA.
