top moulding R1

I have the new top material tacked down on my 29 std coupe and now for the front and rear moulding. I did not have the original moulding so bought the repo R1. How do you bend it since at both the front and rear it has sort of a curve down and away!! Is it easier to just go with the vinyl hidem that LeBaron Bonney sent with the top kit? Thanks for any help on this.

Just so happens that I am at the same point in my restoration. What I figured on doing was to use a jig similar to one I have seen in previous posts for the alumunimum gutter. It worked great for the left side gutter but not so great for the right side gutter. It tended to rotate for right side. The same could happen with the top moulding. The attached photos shows the jig I made up. Again, this was based on a previous post I found in the FordBarn. I thought also that it might help to heat the aluminum before I bend it - to make it somewhat softer and easier to bend. Hope this helps.
