Tool Sizes

Currently I carry a full set of sockets and wrenches in a large craftsmen case sitting on the back seat. In the interest of reducing my tool load to fit in my parts box under the seat I want to weed it down to just the sizes commonly used by Henry. Seems like I should be able to fit 90% of the bolts with just 3 or 4 socket sizes, the adjustable should suffice for the rest. I'm sure someone out there has weeded there tools down to the important ones. Anyone know what those key sizes would be?

Thanks,
Bob NJ

I only keep a screwdriver and the crank on the back shelf, the rest of the tool kit (factory)is under the seat along with spare parts.
The only part I have changed on the road is condensers , but since I got the A&L burnout proof one (25 years) I havn't changed that.
There are many parts under the seat, even a connecting rod, --if I have it I won't need it, it has worked for me for 40 years, the only thing under the seat I have used recently is the grease gun, and hand crank choke wire.

7/16, 1/2, 9/16,11/16, 3/4 --if you could choose only 5--a pair of vice grips, and combination wrenches in the common sizes

If you are stuck on the road people will lend you tools ---if they can watch you work and "help"--they will even go and borrow more tools from their neighbors for you.
