too cold

A guy on the radio today took a pot of boiling water outside, tossed the water into the air (-17 degrees, -45 wind chill) and it turned to vapor and disappeared.

They tossed a cup of tap water into the air and when it hit the ground it was little ice pellets.

THAT'S stinkin' cold!!

i woke up this morning at 4 it was raining 41 degrees f by 530 it was freezing rain it was 14 on the way home form work there calling for a low of -4 with wind chile of -40 80 degrees in 20 house its crazzy

Been 33 all day here. This is unusual for us here too (should be 10-20 degrees colder)

I don't think that it got above 29 degrees here today, Its 21 now and the last weather report I saw says it could be as low as 10or 11degrees in the morning. I've got the model A's drained and the faucets trickling. I sure don't want the pipes to freeze. Its been 26 years since I had any pipes freeze.

so how do y'all like global warming anyway?? Actually, I think we are at "global baking" right now !

Chief related this: In Oklahoma, many years ago, an early, warm spring, sap was flowing freely & trees were leafing out, THEN, a SEVERE artic blast & huge tree trunks & large limbs literally EXPLODED, with sounds like huge GUNS!!
Trees that were later cut for firewood, were quite easy to split! Bill W.

The temp ah cheer has dropped to 19 degrees. Probably won't get above freezing , here tomorrow . The extended forcast says 70 degrees by saturday.

Hey guys, I can sympathise with your current weather, but here I am working outside under a punishing sun, hot wind & dousing myself in water to keep going.
Summer in Aust. & NZ

Global Warming!:rolleyes::p Here in central Florida I was wearing a t-shirt up till 1:30 this afternoon. Suppose to get into maybe the mid 20's tonight.
With a high of only 47 tomorrow....Brrrrrrrr.

I'm thinking about emailing the governor of the state. And asking him to only let Model-A, Model-T {O'K, all other type "Antique" cars too} people
move into the state from now on.:) What'a ya' think?

Bob, when I move to Florida in 2015, I'm bringing my 30 Roadster with me. As I write this tonight, the actual temperature here in far northern Wisconsin is -26 F. Forecast says it might reach 40 below (actual) tonight. Do you think your Model A would start here tomorrow morning?

Boiled my coffee too long this morning, set it out on the porch to cool just a minute, when I brought it in it was froze solid. Froze so fast the ice was still hot! -24 right now.
Hmmm Hot Ice????

SERIOUSLY, I can't even imagine what some of you are enduring!! If I were homeless back there, would one uf you bring me in to the fire? Bill W.

The weather is bad here in Southern California, after I put shorts on I had to go out and mow my green grass and pick some lemons and oranges off my trees for some friends! I do hope all my Fordbarn friends in the rest of the country can stay warm and be safe.

My '29 might because it is a 12 volt with the 6 volt starter. However, I really don't care to find out! Come on down, we'll be waiting for you in 2015.;)

Yesterday in southern N.H. it was 61,heavy fog and raining. This morning it was 4 degrees, but it has warmed up to 11 with a strong wind.

This morning when I got up at seven thirty, the temperature was 12 degrees. Extreme temps, hot or cold isn't good. I'm looking for at least another day or two of extreme cold.
