Today's the day

"Clara" is strapped on the trailer and about to head down to the Reginal Auto Theft division of our local police department for the inspection.

Afterwards I will take the form I receive from them to the local DMV office so the state will issue a title.

Take a Model A book with you that explains location of the Serial Number. The auto theft guy will be lost looking for a 17 digit VIN on the frame.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Everything went fine.
The investigators complemented me on the car and asked if they could take pictures to show their wives..

The officer that was doing the inspection, asked me where the vin number was. I raised the hood and told him the engine number was the vin. He took a photo of it, and my paperwork and said he would be back in a few minutes.

About 10 minutes later he walked up with the notarized form I needed, and my paperwork and told me to have a good day.

I dropped the notarized form off at the DMV office. I was told I should receive my title in 2-3 weeks.

As soon as I have the title in hand I can return to the DMV office and get my 1929 license plates registered to the vehicle.
