Today my grandfather passed away and took with him a lot of knowalge of the model A's with him he was 82yr old. He never used a book to work on them at all he was the book. I remenber this one time, I took him to the old ford museam in Sacramento Ca.. We were looking at the cars and this guy came that worked there and telling us about the cars and my grandfather new about every car and everything about them. The person there didnt know something about the one Model A where the serieal number was located on that car, my grandfather he got all upset and proceed to cross the rope and show the guy it was funny he told the other guy maybe he shouldnt work there if any didnt know anything about the cars. He will surely be missed by me.

Rudvirus,
I wish I had some GREAT WORDS OF WISDOM, for you, it was like a little piece of my heart gone, when Chief, my Dad, left us! I just try to remember the special times we had together & it's OK for an OL' MAN to cry.

That is a huge issue,we are losing our WW11 vets and folks like your granddad, their knowledge is gone forever. Those wonderful people that made America what it is, their will to survive and fight must never be forgotten. God bless him, I hope he gets to meet lots of Model A folks in heaven, they can chat forever.

Condolences and prayers to you. Grandfathers are special, which compounds your loss.

Keep the A going in memory of him and treasure the good times.

May you always treasure the great memories of your grandpa as they are yours to keep forever ! May your grandpa rest in peace and may the good Lord comfort you and your loved ones in this time of grief ! My condolences. Wayne

Sorry too for your loss. Your grandfather will carry on thru you, as the love of the Model A's has been handed down. You're the caretaker now.

He did his job sharing what he knew with you. He will be close by when you need him. Hope you get to pass on what he freely gave you.

My grandfather owned 2 Model A's when I was young, that's why I bought one. He passed 15 years before I bought one. I was unable to glean any information from him before he died. All you've learned about A's is your direct link to him. Every time you work on it or do something a certain way because that's the way he taught you, you'll think of him. Cherish that. My condolences.

Chris
