Tired 94

I'm looking to replace my tired Holey 94 (91-99) and am looking at Speedways super 97. I know that the gas and fuel lines are on opposite sides, but will it work on my 1934 V-8 manifold? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I would send your tired 94 to Charlie NY and have him make it fresh and invigorating. Stay away from Speedways Carbs.

Depending on what else you have besides a "1934 V8 manifold", you might want to consider an original Stromberg 48 or maybe a rebuilt Stromberg 97 from "Uncle Max" or even a new one from Clive in England. I agree with "Angledrive" about Speedway carbs.

Hi Everyone. mikebell, you asked for thoughts. I'd replace it. With the same carb. There are choices for re manufacturers who are frequent contributors here. CharlieNY, Uncle Max, and others. Make a pick and put it in a box. Done.

agree with the others, stay away from speedway carbs and get your original rebuilt by one of the guys on here who rebuilds them.

He says "1934 V-8 manifold". If that's what he has, wouldn't this be the proper time to consider moving to a more correct carburetor?

The more correct carb I believe as suggested is a Stromberg 48. Had one on a 34 and replaced it with a new Stromberg 97.
Sold it with this carb on and still have the old Stromberg 48 which I will probably never use.
