tire size

For those of you who run 16" wire wheels on your "A", would 6.00x16 whitwalls look OK, or should I go with a larger tire, I don't want it to look like a hot rod,.... Just something out of the 40's-50's era.
I just got a set 16" wheels off a 35 ford. I have seen some pic's of model A's with them and thought that they looked great, Im just not sure of what size to go with. Any pic's of your car or advice sure would help. Thank You. ;)

Remember that the 6,00X16 will need the air let out before going into a fender well. I wonder if a 5.50X16 would go in a fender well? On the ground 6.00X16 looks the best to me.

I used Coker 700R16 on the back and 215R70 16 on the front. It gives a sort of big/little which I like. I used the 215R70s on the front since you can get them anywhere and are about half the price of the 700R16. If I had to do it again I'd buy Diamondbacks as Cokers have been having bad reviews on other forums. I'd recommend radials. The 700R16 is the same size as 21 inch tires. The 215R70 are smaller which doesn't matter on the front.

Here is the whole car. I know the landau bars are on upside down. That is the way it came back from the top shop. They have since been corrected.

I don't think you want to go over 600x16. Also, consider the body style; to my eye, the 600x16's look ok on coupes and pickups, but definitely add a hot rod aura to sedans.

Louis,
My roadster with 600 - 16s whitewalls. Their steel belted cokers. Next time, if these ever wear out, I'm going with same tires...only black walls! These tires are super nice and ride just as nice.
