tire damage

How many day's, week's, mo's, should you let your "A" sit, esp. in a unheated garage before their is tire damage [flat spot's ?].. at what time should you put it on jack's to take the wt. off the tire's ?
I like to drive mine at least every two week's, but some time's it sit's over three, is that to long? esp. with the temp. at freezing or slightley below, i live in the Atlanta area. Thank's for any advice. ;)

If it's going to sit more than a month or two, you might want to put it up on jacks.

What's more important is making sure the tires don't go flat with the weight of the vehicle on them - that REALLY damages the casing.

Most non-radials will develop minor flat-spots after prolonged sitting; these will go away after a few miles of driving, once the tire casing warms-up.

With nylon tires, it would happen in as little as a couple of days....

I push the Model A's back-and-forth in the garage during non-use so they don't sit in the same place too long.

Never had any trouble you might try that, then when you want to get it out and drive it you don't have to mess w/ taking it off of jack stands.

i just got back from pushing my 31 foward about 3 feet.
That sure sounds like the simple way to go, Thank,s Jeff :).

My 21" Firestones sit on unheated concrete 9 months a year without any problem. I keep them inflated, don't push the car around the garage either. Still driving with them and they are 26 years old. Drive it , enjoy it, don't worry about it !
