timing gear price

[glenn in camino]

I took a new timing gear out of the box today and the reciept fell out. I bought it in 1980 for $14.95. In Bratton's 2006 catalog they were $29.95. In their 2010 catalog they are $46.00. If you are going to need new parts for a future restoration, buy them ASAP.

100% inflation over 30 years is 2.03% per year- sounds a less than average...

Maybe a different source to them, and different pricing as a result. If they are US made, that would make a difference too.
