I am using a Dynamo Timer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It uses a spring mechanism to rub as the shaft turns. Can I, or should I, use an electrical silicone for lube instead of oil?
You can always try but remember that the purpose of a timer is to provide an elecrtical path at the proper time. If your lube acts as an insulator it is going to be a problem! If the lube conducts where it shouldn't then that is not good either.
