what should be the time to remove old and replace with rebuilt lower control arm on 64 ranchero V8? trying to be fair w/ local mech, at 70 not sure i am up to it! thanx. larry

if you have all the tools, pickle fork, hydralic jack, and the wrenches to remove several bolts, an hour to an hour and a half for each side, ive done several when you could just buy the ball joint, and thats about how long it took me, and i was in no hurry, it sure helps if you have some one there just to hand you tools and whatever

Replacing the lower control arms, with balljoints and pivot bushings already installed, is a piece of cake, both sides can be done in less than 40 min if your mech knows what he is doing.
How are the upper joints and bushings? Are you going to align it when you are done? Consider these costs as well when trying to work out a price
