Throwout bearing bushing

I have a 92 s 10 5 speed in my 55 merc wagon it seems the shim i made for the bearing has moved or fallen out i've ordered a new bearing does anyone have a trick for this marriage besides machineing a sleeve to take up the differance or is that the way to go i'm using a stock bearing also converting it to a mechanical speedo drive at this time

Try this Frank, a T5 throw out bearing spacer by Offenhouser part number 5272-s, or Motion Industries EP 2228-32 stintered bronze.
