Throttle control question

I bought a 1931 4 door town sedan and I finally got the engine to start and the spark control rod works correctly but I noticed that the throttle rod did nothing when moved up or down. This is my first Model A so these types of controls are new to me. It looks like the throttle control lever should be behind the throttle assemble. Is that correct? If so how do I get it behind there? Sorry for the newbie question. I do not want to break something trying to fix this if there is a simple way to do it.

Thanks,
Denny

I have the lever. It is just not connected. I am referring to the other end of it. Does this piece go behind the throttle arm? I took another picture. Hopefully this shows is better. My finger is pointing to the end i am referring to.

I would remove the throttle rod going to the steering column and the rod going to the carb. and remove the 2 bolts in the back that hold the linkage piece on and flip that arm under where it is suppose to be and reinstall everything in reverse order. Not really that hard and I am sure you could do it. Good luck with it.

Yes you need to remove the linkage from behind the engine and reposition as in the other pictures. Remove the front toe kick floor board to access.

on my 31 that part is held on the shaft with a washer and cotter pin. I don't see that on yours so I guess you will have to unbolt the bracket from the bellhousing as al's28/33 said
