Three angle valve seats

I'm doing my 8BA hardened seats with 1 1/2" valves. To do 3 angle seats with a Black ,& Decker valve seat machine what size diameter stones would be used for 30-45-60*. I have 1 5/8 30* and 45* but lack the 60* stone. The vendors don't seem to list a 60* stone, what diameter would be best ? Can I cut a 45 to 60 in the stone dresser stand. Would 1 1/2 be better to use for the 60*? Thanks Zeke

Yes, you can cut a 45 degree stone to a 60... I don't know why, but the stones that I learned on the 60 degree seemed to be a very course one, when used I learned to put a light spring under the pilot, get the stone up to speed and just barely kiss the seat... Getting a concentric ring around the inside is plenty- the seats on MOST fords are on the center toward the outside aready... Hit it with the 30, do the 45 last... Karl

PS, I think that the Neway cutters turn out a better job, my humble opinion...
