Thread Size Tilotson Carb

I removed the carb to check the float height after rebuilding it and thought I was being careful, but I started to cross thread the fuel line fitting. What size is the thread for the fuel line fitting. I have a friend that can do it, but wanted to clarify the size. He said we need to use a thread forming tap instead of a thread cutting tap. Thanks for any help your all can give me.
