This Horn

[woofa.express]

In my cousin's possession. She asks if it is a musical instrument or a old car horn.??

[lrf]

From the looks of that front bug screen, I'd say it's a "Bulb Horn".

[Synchro909]

I had one like that and years ago, I bought a bulb from the Veteran Car Club of Vic. I sold the going horn years ago to a very happy swap meet shopper.

[nkaminar]

Could be a musical instrument for someone who has an aversion to sucking in bugs while playing in a locust plague.

Never thought of that nkaminar. Keep out cane toads and crocodiles too.

Dad's expression for something that was self evident or easy was "Pours like soup through a dinnerhorn."

Maybe this a dinnerhorn for the more difficult? Not quite so free-pouring?

(I'll take the bulb type horn with cover to muffle the "sucking" sound when you let the bulb go for $100, Alex)
