The small Fleet

I know I am a slacker based on the number of Model A's I have but thought I would put a picture of my small fleet on the fourm anyway. I know many of you on this fourm have more A's but I thought I would show mine being I finally got the coupe up and running.

That's great Fred, now take my advice and stop there, any more and you become a slave to them. Glad you got the coupe going, I have a 29 special coupe and a 30 roadster, sold three others and THIS is it.

I sure like the looks of the coupe with the black tires and wheels. I have a 29 Town Sedan with straw color wheels, yours sure look better.

Chief, my dad, always said, "Model A's are like dogs, you can't own just one!"

Very nice looking cars Fred! I have two, (one finished, and one I hope to finish next spring) and I do not want to part with either of them. My wife says that I need to teach her how to drive one so we can have both in parades!

Now my problem is that I need to have a winter project each winter and what better than another Model A? (But where would I park it?)

Ben, I have the same problem. With two Model A's, a Ford 8N tractor, a D2 Cat, and a pickup and car, my space is getting kind of limited. You are correct, a person does need a winter project.

Here is my fleet. The latest Model A station wagon I am still working on and is not shown.

PS: I bought the 1973 when it was new.

I love the idea of a fleet, I have already begun to purchase my dad's farm for retirement and that has a few barns for shop space and storage. But I also agree, you must not get so much that you get nothing done and stop enjoying it.

Fred, it looks like your coupe has been pinstriped yet. If that's true and you're thinking about striping, I just had my 29 Tudor done in Portland for a very reasonable price. And it's real striping, not tape or masked off. Send me an email if you want more information. 23skidoo @ iinet.com

what color combo is the coupe ??

I do not know for sure what the colors are. The fellow that rebuilt it a few years back could not remember the colors or what kind of paint. But when I print off a color chart from the auto color library, the colors seem to match Dutchess Blue for the main color and Chelsea Blue for the trim. But this is printing the chart with a color laser printer and then taking that printout to match it with the car. Needless to say, may not be very accurate but it sure looks like the colors. The only other colors that somewhat matched were Vagabond green for the main color and Rock Moss Green for the trim.

Again sort of a guess at the colors.

According to this same website, the Chelsea Blue or the Rock Moss Green were used on a 29 coupe.
