The perfect turn signal switch?

Sweet!

Just got off the phone with them, I ordered the toggle switch version with the cloth wiring kit.

He said they don't have an online ordering system to avoid a lot of returns. He finds out your intentions with said product and then guides you along.

Very nice people!

I recently purchased this system, installed it, and quite like how it turned out. My inclination was for a switch that integrated with the existing electrical system AND could in addition accommodate a third brake light, which I added. I had the option with this system of integrating the turn signal into the third brake light so half of it blinks in time with the respective rear tail light. The solid state system knows about blinking the turn signal with simultaneous illuminating the brake light (if/when applied) on the opposite side.

One big advantage is the separate wiring terminal, which is compact and incorporates recessed screws to secure each of the individual wires. The tops of the screws make a handy port for checking/re-checking the wiring for such things as proper ground/power. The terminal port space is large enough to secure more than one wire such as the third brake wires.

The module also has a built-in LED for communication purposes that shows brake light (steady green), or left turn signal (blinking green), or right turn signal (blinking amber). At one point we had mistakenly put a wire in the wrong port making for an unacceptable electrical connection. When we tested the mis-wired system, the module's LED briefly flashed red and at the same time the beeper warbled signalling there was a wiring problem. With all of this, the solid state design behaved as it was described by the salesman in terms of it being "ruggedly reliable."

The automatic canceling that activates based on the expiring brake signal works like a charm. In short, had Ford included turn signals in the original car functionally this how they would have performed. As it is, this is pretty much how our modern vehicles operate and the system comes with the same high tech reliability.

Kudos for such a well-engineered product.
