The Official '32-'34 Truck Thread

WOW!!!!

What a great looking truck. I wouldn't expect to see a nice original '32 still out there that is for sale. Most of the ones that come up for sale look like they have been thru the wars. Almost all of the good ones are in the hands of guys who will not part with them.

Great Find!!!!

Chris

What '32 pickup?

I do see a '33 pickup though. ;)

Hey Chris, that truck is just awesome. Congrats on the find!

Say NEALINCA ... I really like your RPU. I can't be the only one wondering this. How do you keep it from rusting?? Clear coat, WD-40, sacrificial anode??

Gibbs brand penetrating oil/rust preventative. The stuff works great and is easily wiped off with thinner when it's time to paint. The truck will be torn apart and painted/plated/upholstered in the next year or so...

Here are some shots of part what looks like a hand set up for a turning signal Arm.I think the rope went above the drivers head that I have mocked up .can any one elaborate on this, The trucks is from CA

Thanks for starting this thread. I think Trucks have been Short Changed for years. The passanger cars get all fixed up with shiny paint and chrome but trucks are a little more humble.

Every Truck was originally bought for a purpose such as working on the farm or hauling freight. Every one has a story to tell. All are individual in their own way.

Cars may be Cool but Trucks are WAY MORE INTERESTING!!!!

Chris.

I always loved my truck and don't know why I sold it but I built in the 90's I wouldn't be happy with it today as I had drifted away from the more traditional look. I'm so amazed to see all the beautiful trucks that have shown up on this thread. I wish I knew where it is today.

here one we have

Some more early pictures of the now named 'Merlot'. I was working in the lab in 1957 when I saw this 1934 truck in original condition, at a local garage in Leamington Ontario. The white uniform was changed daily, and I have stopped off to see my girlfriend on Oak Street for lunch. Those were the days.

Now "IT'S NOT YOUR AGE IT 'S YOUR ATTITUDE"
