The Green Hornet

I started to watch an old serial from 1940 last night on youtube - The Green Hornet.

The Hornet's special "Black Beauty" car is a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr with front fender skirts and some special trim and partial covers on the side windows. Kato says it will do over 200 mph! Lots of 30's era cars and street scenes. The police cars are 1937 fords. They "blow up" a 1932 roadster in one of the earlier episodes. Any cars they crash are older model sedans.

It's in 20 minute segments. The whole serial is almost 4 hours long.

I thought you guys might enjoy seeing all these old cars.

I just watched the first 10 minutes. I think it's great! The hokey acting is so period! When I get time, I'm gonna watch the whole thing (I bet it beats what's on TV tonight.) The quality is exceptional. I usually blow things like this off because the are incomplete or the quality is so bad you can't see or hear what's going on. Thanks for the link. Oh yeah, I might even look for the cars!

A tale as old as time; inferior materials, faulty equipment, profiteering and imaginary heroes bent on saving the little guy. Loved it! Cars were great as well, thanks.
