Hey Zeke: You sir, "are an artist," I would be thrilled to have that dash in my 39, So where do I send it. ?? ..Please tell us how and what you did, start with bass coat, color and go slow for us old guys. give us some steps, and colors changes, is there clear coat over all finish ?? ....:cool:OLD....BILL:cool:

Looks great. There is a gal near me that is an artist that does woodgraining and yours looks every bit as nice.
Torchie.

I put a black epoxy on bare metal, base coat was a red oxide lacquer, used a piece of a sponge with black enamel, very thinned black with a little red enamel mixed, and brown with a little red enamel thinner heavily. I think a little less is better it got busy very fast. The left end of dash has a little less and looks better. Just dab the red oxide with the black and black mix looks best. Practice on some sheet metal scrapes. Used a sanding pad, then clear coat makes it pop. Zeke

Looks like it was made from very rare & expensive Zekewood. Very nice , you were lucky to find such a nice speciman to work with. Great job.
