The 46 in Nova Scotia

Well, I don't want to jinx us but the 46 ran great for 800 miles to Nova Scotia. Cruising locally now and head back to MA later in the week. A lot of cruising on the Trans Canada @60mph. 90 degrees all 3 days and the temp never got over 190. 180 most of the time. Leaked/used only 3/4 qt of oil.
This is fun

John, it looks like you and Barb are having too much fun. Next trip to Florida you should drive the '46. Have a safe trip home. Vic

John were you able to connect with Chris J. in Pictou? His warehouse is a must if you are in the area! Bill.

Bill,
Spent 2 hours of fun Ford talk with Chris today. May get to see his "stuff" tomorrow. I don't think he wants his wife to see the "stuff" he has. Will let you know. He is a real old time Ford guy.

John,

If you're coming back near Manchester, NH give me a call. Maybe we can get together so I repay the excellent blue berry muffin you gave me at Hemmings last Friday. I'll PM you with my cell phone #.

Chuck,
Thanks for the offer. Would love to stop but we are now on a beeline home to MA. Left Nova Scotia this morning and, after a long, hot day we made it to Bangor, ME. Kept it around 60mph most of the time. Trans Canada thru New Brunswick and the cars go by like we are stopped. Light traffic so we didn't cause a back-up. Car is running good! Off to a steakhouse now and then hit the sack.

Back home from Nova Scotia. The 46 ran great! Never missed a beat. This was an adventure for us at our age (71). 85-90 air temps all the way and ran around 55/60 mph. Sometimes a little faster when the wife drove. 1510 miles (1677 on the odometer which is off 10%). 1 1/2 qts of oil leaked/burned.
These old Fords are fun! Drive them!
Thanks to all the Fordbarners who helped me over the years getting her ready.

John
