The 335 horsepower Flathead

The video was cool, but the constant claims of 335 HP are a bit much.

If I remember correctly, when I read Joe's book, all his "engine combinations" and HP claims were based on a "software dyno" - not true empirical testing on an actual engine dyno that was known to be accurate.

With that said, he seems to be a good dude, and his products and books have helped a lot of people.

He has a dyno of his own but let’s say it’s a “happy” dyno. The track dyno has that all steel ‘34 Sedan running 12.40’s and he has a 3.5 second 0 to 60 time which I assume is being calculated by one of those “Draggy” gps devices.

I’d say his claims aren’t very far off if at all.
