Hey Ken...thanks for talking me into straight pipes on my '40 coupe.
Been running that way 7 years now and I've never had anybody complain about noise.
In fact on club tours I've had guys jockey for the spot behind me so they could listen to the music!
Now I also have a '40 pickup with the same setup....warmed up flathead and straights.
Twice as good.
Have a great day and hope you don't get too much snow.

No problem except the snow got about 10" so far and still comming down.Had driveway plowed out and hes comming back tomorrow i hope to get the second plow done. Glad you like the straight pipes. Guys dont know what their missing.LOL ken ct.

I just took my steel pack mufflers off, (sounded like my Grannies car) and went straight pipes, mine is 2" from headers just past the cab, then 1 1\2" tail pipes, sounds real good & kinda mean! I love it!

Its Funny. On my 38 Im running fentons and 2" straights w/harley baffles just dumped before the rear wheels and its LOUD! But on my 36 stock headers, 1.75 tube, and 2 in 1, a resinator. Huge difference.

Yep, hearing Ken always talking about how nice his straight pipes sounded definitely influenced my decision to replace the muffler that was going bad on my '35 with a section of straight pipe. It's just one pipe coming back, not duals, but I think it sounds great....thanks to Ken :)

I cant get out of the house, the snow is blocking the front and back doors. Im going to have to tunnel my way to the shop and camper to get parts for you guys and work in the shop.Where are all the kids in todays world carring shovels to do some shoveling for us old folks. The money is there if you want to work for it.Come on over. Ken Ct. stratford and buried in it. LOL
