Fellow Fordies:

I want to say thank you to all those that have replied to my requests for parts over the past 2 years.

I now have everything for my 47 Ford Woody except for a radio, and that can wait until one lands in my lap.

The help that I got was amazing. Every transaction went through without a hitch. I wish negotiations and peoples' word meant the same today as it did 50 years ago. Many of those I've hand dealings with have been from a generation or two (or more) older than I, and I can say without question, a handshake or their word was stronger than any contract sale or negotiation from those in my generation.

I think if more people restored cars from the 40's and 50's, the moral fabric of our society would exponentially increase.

Several years ago I was in charge of selling fender covers for my local club. We advertised Nationally and over the course of several years sold nearly 400 covers. In that entire time period I never had a check bounce and had only one complaint and his money was returned. I firmly believe that when dealing with old car people you are dealing with the salt of the earth.
