I would like to Thank all the Bob Drake customers, that I have serviced over the last 3+ years. I have enjoyed talking with you about your early Ford projects. Unfortunately Friday myself & 4 other coworkers were laid off, due to the bad economic times. Hopefully when the economy improves I will be back to the job I enjoyed so much. Hope to see you at a swap meet or two. Thank you, Bob Perry (Bob Drake sales dept.)

It has been a pleasure to see your smiling face across the counter, thanks for your help & taking care of my minor problems, may all your endeavors go well.

Bob, I am saddened to hear you are temporarily out of work. Hopefully things will improve and you'll be back 'in business'.
You were one of a select few that were actually helpful at Drake's.
I can't imagine what the service (lack thereof) will be with the current layoffs.

i am a electrician by trade, i haven't worked a real job in over a year. i had to get a flunky job at U-Haul, i make 9 bucks a hour. jobs are hard to find, i wish you luck

Even the government jobs are sketchy. I think November will see a few more people being fired. Anyone at Hershey notice how scaled back Carpenter's spot was.

WOW! Thank you Bob for all the good service you provided to customers. I sure hope things turn around for you and BOB DRAKE.

All Barner's get out and VOTE!

Don't just vote, vote all incumbents OUT We need new blood up there all across the board. I have already voted here in Georgia, and I voted against all incumbents. There is a Dem and a Repub and a Libertarian running for Governor here. Neither was worth a crap so I voted for the Libertarian, although I have never heard of him. Gotta be better than either of the other two.

Take America back from the Career Politicians.

Down South. Here in East Texas. A bunch of folks wish the minimum wage was higher I think it is 7.25 an hr. The Good Lord has blessed me with a good job. I will pray that he will keep you also Bob.

Bob P.: I've been out over 21 months, I'm a 99 weeker, hoping for an extension, not sure what I'm going to do if there isn't one, still I know many lots worse off than me.
Good luck.

He sends everything over seas to be made. Maybe that is where his new sales folks will be so he can pay them dime per hour.

Sorry to hear this I have bought tons of stuff from you at Drake when I was doing my 40 conv. But now finished U have to cut back also really lost my job 8 yrs ago tomorrow or move to Minn.so I took early retiement and had to give back 45%

Bob Perry-

I don't know what to say other than I hope the best for you and the four others who have been laid-off.

It seems like whenever I receive a new Drake catalog prices have ratcheted-up. His new catalog is no exception. It appears that Bob Drake is fast becoming the undisputed price leader when it comes to old Ford parts many of which are identical to the same ones others are selling . This is where things get puzzling. It doesn't take a course in Econ 101 to understand that when prices go up sales go down. The unfortunate part of this equation is the little guy (such as Bob Perry and others) take the fall-out from bad marketing decisions made by others. Does Drake get it...?

Sorry for the early morning rant but I feel bad for anyone losing their job in this dreadful economy.

Tom

Sorry to hear about you job loss. There are lots of "social justice" give away programs and Oregon that business have to pay for via taxes. You sir are another victim of Washington's elite. That "Change" is not working out for 9.8% of us.
Get out and vote.

Bloody hell man, don,t you guys have a minimum wage there.
Lawrie
Some place where the minimum wage is high, business can't afford to hire people so it keeps more people unemployed. Raising the minimum wage doesn't create jobs, it can reduces them.

This bothers Me, hope you can return to work soon, and hope Bob Drakes business pics up. The 40 coupe work hopefully will spark builders to step forward.

Bob - I'd like to thank you for the nice sympathy card you sent.
It's not very often - these days - that people take the time to sit down, write something and put it in the mail. Drake's loss...
