Yep, another dumb question from me..:D

I'm working on getting my lights straightened out. Going to the parts venders, I noticed there are two types, Tea Cup and Drum. Just looking, they both look alike. Am I missing something or what is what ?

Thanks

This is a reproduction drum type..used through February 1929 according to the Judging Standards..

The teacup is shaped like, well, a teacup....

I've heard that the lenses are different sizes??

That's a good question. Do the LED lenses fit the drum?

I don't like the teacup.

Anyway, like the powerhouse generator, I think the drum tailight was used for a lot, lot later the 28 here. So there's my 100 point restoration advice.

There is no way the led lights will fit. There is a divider in the drum light and the leds are cast as one piece and will not fit. Also the drum is smaller ing diameter than the tea cup.

The one I listed is actually a split LED light plate thats a replacement for the bulbs inside the drum assembly, I hope it fits as I just ordered it for mine three days ago, I'll post pics once it gets here.

I'm trying to fit the United Pacific LED lenses to the drum tail light. They are a little larger and need some adjustment on the front. I will let you know how it turns out. The license plate lens is completely different not sure what I'm going to do there.

Just following up with this thread, got my LED tail light in the mail, it fits fine, here's some pics

I put the Bratton's LED in my 28 drum style. The instructions said to remove the STOP stencil, which I did, but didn't want to do. I see you kept yours, Pinesdune. I will see about putting mine back in as I like it better that way.

You can get LED bulbs that fit into the regular bulb socket. I bought some for my 30 from a guy in Australia who comes to Hershey. I am not crazy about the look of the circuit board type when lit.
