I'm building a 40 pickup from a basket case and need advice on the tailgate hinge. On the 40 tailgate (with the V8) the top chain hole/bar is recessed and sets flush with the side of the tailgate. On the 41 and up it sticks out about a half inch or so. Does the triangle chain holder on the side panel stay in the same position for both styles?
I'm using 41 side panels as a model to follow. When I use the 40 tailgate will I have to relocate the triangle chain holders on the side panels? Crazy question, but I need to find out.
