tail lights

I am going from one tail light to two on my 28 tudor and was wondering exactly where on the back fenders to mount the brackets. Is there a measurement from the ground up or up from the bottom lip of the fender I can go by? And I assume they go in the center of the fender side to side. Is that correct? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The most important thing, is that it matches your left fender. Take your measurements from that one.

How about leaving the left tail light mounted to the body and make a right bracket that mounts to the bumper crossbrace and bend to position the light to match the left light? That way you won't need to drill good original fenders.

Bratton's and Snyder's sell the correct R/H tail light arm which is mounted to the lower body sill body as is the left one. Use the left hand mounting holes in the body for the dimensions for the right side. You will find that it is a bit difficult to get one of the nuts started on the attach bolts but it can be done and makes a very nice looking installation. I have made the installation on two club members cars and it is well worth the effort. Gar Williams
