Tail light wire's ,,,too short

Hi Guy's


Went to hook up my new tail light's yesterday..I seem to remember talk way back about the wire's being too short..Well,,,they were...!!! The one's on the new light were 10",,should be more like 18".. Just unsoldered the short wire & installed the longer ones...


So If you are going to install new tail light's,check the wire's Length...

It's been so long ago I don't really remember who I got the tail light's from ? It was when the new repro stainless "teacup" came out, I think this was in the early 80's ?


Anyway the light's came with short red & white wires about 10" long..I'am thinking Snyder's or Bratton's as that who I got most of my part's from

Dont you blame the quality of the vendors !!!

Maybe wire`s shrunk over the years :cool:

My clothes do that too (just over night) :confused:

Thanks Greg, I am always on the look out to know which repo parts are wrong and from which vendor. I guess if you got them that long ago it would be hard to return them?

The Tail light's themself's are really nice...Use to be a "saying" at the old Ford Obsolete in Long Beach (calif) All part's come with a Free "File" !!!!!!!!.


Putting the car together the last few Year's I was shocked when something actuality "fit".So for the tail light's I just fixed the wires..
