I have A westach 6volt pos ground tach in my 53 f-100 ,couple of weeks ago truck suddenly stalled ,would not start , disconnected the tach wire to the neg side of coil ,truck stared , sent tach back to westach they put in new circut board in the tach installed the tach worked fine two miles truck stalled ,unhooked wire and the truck started. I have the original tach for over two years no problems .
