how would i wire a tach on my 55 merc 292 converted to 12 volts trans was changed to a S 10 that is electronic have to find a mechanical tailshaft setup to make speedo work so its a tach for now. pinion bearing this weekend yeah!

Most tachs will have a ground, one wire for hot, one wire for the point side of the coil, one wire for the dash lights, and that should make it work.
