Every now and then you pick up on some neat stuff. I have had this tool for a couple years and used it a few times , each time i love it a little more.
Made for timing the Model T Ford engine and being pretty exact on the timing. Many T owners out there without a clue as to where the exact timing is set at .
This one was a new speedster engine getting ready for the Newport Hillclimb.
Tool is screwed in the number one cylinder, brass rod is positioned to the piston top , engine is turned over a couple times to determine exact TDC and then engine is stopped at exactly 15btdc. They provide a small led jumper lead so that the ( in this case ) distributor may be timed with the blink of a light to the exact timing point for proper ignition.
Makes it allfull easy for sure ..
