We were at a car show Saturday, and parked next to out Model A's was a 1916 Model T speedster. The front and rear axles had several small springs attached to the sides of the axles near the wheels. Can anyone explain what they are for? Some type of shock or additional suspension?? They looked original to the car.

Thanks!!

Accessory aftermarket " shock absorbers". Came in many many different types, Hassler brand being the most common.

Perhaps Float A Ford brand, some many different ones......
