I'm keeping my eyes open for a T rear axle to use in my speedster project. I've yet to pay over $100 for anything, and I'm trying to keep it that way for as long as possible, but I suspect an axle will break that.
This old trailer came up on Craigslist. It's the rear of a T frame with most of the rear suspension still underneath. If I think of the axle, spring, and wishbones as seperate pieces, and subtract the possible resale value of the crossmember, that probably meets my budget criteria.
HOWEVER, the missing torque tube makes me nervous. I've never seen an orphan torque tube for sale, and don't plan on going to an open driveshaft (Model A transmission... long story). So is there any point in buying this stuff when I'll probably have to buy another T axle setup just for the torque tube and driveshaft?
