Sweet running flathead

'Took the coupe for a ride this morning and noticed it was running much smoother than usual-even the "sweet spot" was higher up on the tach. It was the most enjoyable ride I've had since it was "new". No paranoia: no funny sounds or odd vibrations.

Found the secret- I left my hearing aids at home.
 
I didn't know how much my wife suffered with a dash squeak until I got my hearing aids. lol Found the squeak and now all are happy.

Started mine & the fan was noisey. Checked & the pulley is a tad loose. Dangum gremlins been workin nights again.
 
i can relate to that also, last weekend i took my truck to Vallejo, it was running great and sounded good also, i think the motor was good and warm.
 
I remember driving home from a particularly loud night club in my youth. That old mini never sounded so quiet!
 
Mine runs real smooth when it's pouring down rain! Amazing how the rattles and various noises go away.
