Some 35-36 intakes have a 3/8" to 1/2" hole between the rear studs under the carb base which leads to the cross over passage chamber. Maybe 1 manifold has the hole and the other one dosen't.That provides heat to the carb base.Or the passages in the block could have been blocked off with pennies by previous owner. ken ct.Running a 1935 ford with a model 48 carb. After a good run the black base of the carb is dripping with water. A 1936 that I also drive has a model 97 and remains dry. What is going on?
