Does anyone have any experience (either first hand or other!) with installing a Swamp Cooler on a convertable such as a Model A Cabriolet?

The trip from Indiana to California promises to be hot and I would like to do someting to keep the wife alive!

My dad tells me of the trips that they made from Calfiornia to Texas and back several times when he was in college and I was just a young thing. They carried hand towels, would wet them and hang them in the window. Wet it again when it dried out. Kept Mom and child at a tollerable temprature in their Model A along the trip across the way.:D

"Back in the days" they used to drive at night to avoid most of the heat and sleep during the heat of the day.

Sacreligious or not, I have a real AC in 2 of my Model A's and am out there driving in the heat. It can be removed in a couple of hours, but it won't be. Trailering, now that's sacreligious.

Gee, isn't riding in the rain, heat and dust part of the whole Model A "experience?" Put the top down, lather on the sunscreen, put on a hat and enjoy the journey 1930s style.

i have one also . gonna try it this summer . sacreligious !!! i dont think so ... steve

I would rather put any type of AC in my car (which i plan to this summer) than trailer. What's the fun in trailering? My car has only been on a trailer 2 times, and that was because the repairs couldn't be made on the side of the road.
