Sunvisor Moving

I'm a new member as of today. Recently purchased 55 F-100 older stock restoration. My question is in regards to the passenger sunvisor. Whenever I take off the visor rotates outward from the windsheild and won't stay in it's original position. Looking for a fix. This didn't do this until after having visors recovered. Upholester claims they did nothing to cause this. Thanks
 
Some of the visors had a metal part that the rod slid into. This friction between the two metal pieces held it in place. You might try to bend the rod every so slightly to increase the friction (after removing it from the visor of course). Check your visor to see if it has a metal tube.
 
by moving do you mean visor is flopping down or is the arm/visor if it is the later there is a spring above the mounting point you may be able to tighten
