sun visor

There was an article in the Restorer a couple of years back. Basically, take a piece of thin plywood, screw it to a cabinet hinge, then screw the cabinet hinge to the header. The tension that normally holds the cabinet door closed holds the visor against the headliner.

Alternatively, some of the vendors sell the hinge that was used in the ‘31s, but you need to add in a wood rail in the roof to attach them to. Ok if your headliner is off, difficult if not.

These pictures of the sun visors in my Victoria Coupe may help you. I recommend that you use original sun visors available from upholstery dealers.

great answer Jay Jay! impressed.............

Yeah, I ordered a set of the ‘31 repro shade assemblies and will fit them into my ‘30. I have to study a few more ‘31 to see how it was done, I’m not sure it was done correctly in my ‘31.

A guy in my club wrote the article in the Restorer.
