I just registered on this website. I've enjoyed cars and motorcycles since I was a teenager, and that's been a long time. Please pardon me for my first post being about selling something but I'm at a loss of where to start to get rid of a BUNCH of parts I aquired in a parts store close out. I admit now it was one of my weaker moments. Many of the parts are for much later cars (70's through early 2000's). but there are a lot of gaskets and gasket sets that may be of interest to some on this forum. I'd sell parts one at a time, but I would also be interested in selling them in lots.
Of particular interest to some on this board, I've found numerous flathead V-8 head gaskets (38-48?), a "valve grind" gasket set for a similar year flathead, and several intake gaskets for the later '49-53 flathead. There are other gaskets for flathead Plymouth/Dodge 6 cyl. engines, and what I think are intake gaskets for "Y" block Fords, etc. etc. These are from the age where gasket sets came in long "envelopes". I don't want to clutter the classifieds with individual listings, so just wondered if anyone would be interested in the gaskets as a "lot", or you can contact me if you're looking for some gasket(s) in particular. There are over 100 of the packages and I'd be willing to discuss, off-line preferably, what I have, to begin getting rid of at least part of the the mess of parts that I bought. Or does anyone know of companies dealing with vintage car parts to contact, who might be interested in a "lot" (the gaskets in particular) to sell through their existing retail and/or online sales organization?
