got a chance to buy a 1959 studebaker overdrive. Its behind a flat 6.
My question is Is this particular overdrive worth getting? Have not seen it on the floor yet. Its still in the car. will have to pay top money for it.
Is the bolt pattern way different on Stud compared say to a 49 or 50 ford.

overdrive book says borg warner R serries was used in Studs.

Thanks for any help .

No. Not worth getting, IMO. It's going to be an R-10 Overdrive behind the Stude's transmission. If you just needed it for parts and got it real cheap, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, NO

You might try this question on Hot Rod Works... They were doing the BW OD conversion on closed drivelines, and I assume they might have an opinion.
JMO, just a suggestion.
