Stuck Rings/ true story

After WW II my parents moved from Southern California to Mansfield, Missouri to live on my Grandfathers old farm. As my father had been a mechanic many years in the Oil fields and citrus industry, he was asked by many locals to work on their cars.
Roy, and old farmer who lived on the adjoing farm had an old Model T Ford of the 4 door style. He was a quite fellow and not much education. One after noon he showed up at the back door of our lold farm house, with a piston and connecting rod. The rings were stuck in the groves. He asked Dad if he could help him. Well of to our tiny gargae they went and short time Roy was on his way home. About a houl later he shows up again, with piston and connecting rod. To close this story he made four trips, and on last one Dad asked him "Roy why did you not bring them all in one trip" to which Roy asnwered "I thought I might get'm mixed up. This is a trus story and it happened in about 1946 or '47. I was about 12 or 13 at the time. Mansfield,Mo is the home of Laura Ingalls Wilder
Just hope you enjoy this story
