Stromberg Jets?

Can the jets be exchanged in the Stromberg 81, 97, and 48 carbs (obviously I mean the thread size not the orfice size)?

Yes, the jets for the Stromberg models 40, 48, 81, and 97 are interchangeable. The thread size for all the models is 3 / 8- 24

Get one of Uncle Max's jet wrenches. Do not attempt to remove them without a quality jet wrench. You'll regret it if you do.
