Stromberg 97 Rebuild

Hey Guys, I just purchased a Stromberg 97 for my Flathead and would like very much to do a careful rebuild. I'm having a hard time finding good directions that I can copy. The other day I was on a site called Webrodder.com and found a good article but am not able to print it or buy it. Any do-it-yourselfers out there that can assist ?

Kind Regards,

There are good, thorough instructions in the Ford Service bulletins in I think 1938, together with an excellent circuit-by-circuit explanation of how it all works. If you have a flathead and don't have the sercice bulletins, readily available in repro '32-48, you are working in the dark! Order some right now!
Once you read the dealer rebuild stuff, you will need some more specific info because in some cases they say "measure with KRW gauge #XYZ" rather than giving a measurement you can replicate with available tools.

I purchased a copy of the webrodder article. I think it was ~ $22.00 with postage. Very good article with great pictures and good explanations on how to do every step of a 97 rebuild. Not sure why you can not purchase one now.

Spike,
Email me off site with your address....I have these service
bulletins....I'll copy them and send them to you pronto.
Just remember when doing the rebuild assume nothing and
be ready to find a plethora of mixed parts. Ken , Uncle Max me and
others will help you git 'er done if need be.

Visit Speedway Motors site, and you can download an extensive article by Jermy Jobe, one of the premier Stromberg experts.

Hi JM, Thanks for your reply. I could not figure out what the path was to get to buy a copy. Do you remember how you accessed the site and got to the link to buy the article ?
