This is a Elmira N.Y. 97 carb - made as a replacement carb for Holley 94's requiring vacuum signal to the distributor. It is a Stromberg 97 carb, though the boss where the '97' would usually go, is blank.
These were sold by places like Western Auto during the early to mid 50s.
This carb is very clean. It looks like it has hardly been used, if at all. Obviously it will need to be rebuilt, but is a straightforward job.
Don't waste time messing around with a dirty stuck junker, start with this and be ahead of the game!
This carb will come with a few spare parts (float, linkage, etc.) Buyer pays shipping.
Will part trade for early Olds (303/324) speed parts, 33/34 wishbone, good Wide 5 drums for a banjo rear, old frog mouth scoops…
