I’m installing a Stromberg 81 on my otherwise stock Model A. I’m seeking help with the size of the Jets & PV.
Any help is appreciated

Interesting, I was not aware they made reproduction 81s?? I have seen pepro 97s but not 81s. Where might one buy one?
Lots of places even Speedway. They are about $550.00 so always cheaper to find (or build) a good original. "Stromberg" branded ones I think are made in England. They are very good and match to original prints. There are also many knockoff that have the look and may run well - or not. It's a crap shoot but the current Speedway ones seem to be ok (notice I didn't say OK) and much improved over their knockoffs of 10-15 years ago.
I've got 3 of the bigger 48s for my Rutherford OHV B engine.
The Stromberg 48 carb is closely related to the famous Stromberg 97, distinguished by its larger 1 1-32 inch main venturi (vs. 31/32" on the 97) and lacking the 97's internal choke linkage ball detent, making its air horn smoother inside.

I guess that my question boils down to this:
Should the 81 go on a stock banger motor with the same jets and power valve that were used in the original configuration or would the banger benefit from some different components.

Thanks, I guess I never searched for a 81, mostly deal with 97's. Here are three on my Y-Block.
